GENERAL SENATOR

Tamhidul Islam is a ’26 from Dhaka, Bangladesh, double-majoring in Economics and Environmental Studies with a focus on emerging markets and climate finance. On campus, he also serves on the Allen House Executive Board, Magnuson Center Student Leadership Board, Dartmouth Economic Research Scholars, and the Parliamentary Debate Team.

Tamhid is passionate about entrepreneurship, sustainability, and helping bridge opportunities for international and low-income students. Having studied abroad twice—in Rome and Namibia—he loves sharing insights about experiential learning, cultural adaptation, and global engagement. Outside of academics, he enjoys playing FIFA, FaceTiming his cat 7,500 miles away, and taking long naps. If you ever see him around campus or at Woccom, don’t hesitate to say hi!
