Jacob is a '25 from North Andover, Massachusetts and a double major in Environmental Studies and Psychology. Outside of classes, he's a senior intern in the Sustainability Office, a member of the Sustainable Living Center, a leader in the Dartmouth Mountain Biking Club, and a member of the Creative Gaming Club!

Laurel Hamilton is a junior from Denver, Colorado studying Economics and Quantitative Social Science with a Spanish minor. She is a snowboarding instructor with the Dartmouth Snowsports School as well as a House Senator for Dartmouth Student Government and a member of Dartmouth Sports Analytics, the Dartmouth Investment and Philanthropy Program, and the club swimming. Laurel worked as a legislative intern for Colorado Senator John Hickenlooper this past summer researching technology and economic policy for the Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation. She enjoys hiking and skiing with the Dartmouth Outing Club in her free time.

Jack Wisdom ’26

Jack Wisdom is a ’26 from Auburn, Alabama who is interested in studying bioengineering and business strategy. At Dartmouth, Jack enjoys working with the Real Estate Club, studying French, and playing golf with the club team. He loves representing East Wheelock first-years in DSG while working hard to improve student experiences at Dartmouth. In his free time, Jack also likes watching football and meeting new people around campus!

Sydney O’Connor ’27

Sydney O’Connor ’27

Sydney O'Connor is a sophomore from the Hudson Valley, New York studying Economics with Public Policy and Human Centered Design minors. She is Co-Chair of the Health and Wellness Committee and a House Senator for Dartmouth Student Government, Treasurer and Engagement Manager for the Dartmouth Consulting Group, and a mentor for the Magnuson Center for Entrepreneurship's First Year Fellows program. She is also a member of the Dartmouth Women's Club Water Polo team and Chi Delta sorority. In her free time, Sydney enjoys practicing yoga, painting, and spending time with her family and friends.

Jude is a prospective Quantitative Social Science major from Tucson, Arizona. Before enrolling at Dartmouth, Jude was a passionate educational equity advocate in his home state, lobbying local leaders to improve Arizona’s public schools and co-founding a free STEM education nonprofit. His interest in improving student life drove him to get involved with student government, where he currently serves as the ’28 North Park Senator and DSG’s Co-Director of Communications. Outside of DSG, Jude is an ambassador with the Dartmouth Political Union, a SEAD mentor with the DCSI, a crossword contributor to The Dartmouth, a Pi-Lamda-Sigma fellow, and serves on the Collis Governing Board. He is also a Dickey Center Great Issues Scholar, DCSI ImpACT Fellow, a Dartmouth College Jack Byrne Scholar of Mathematics.

JJ Dega ’26

JJ was born in Chicago, Illinois, but moved to Boise soon after. He is currently studying History, modified with Economics, and will pursue a Public Policy Minor. On campus, he is involved in Club Tennis, Ledyard Canoe Club, Class Council, and loves attending guest speaker lectures. From his experience in local Idaho politics, he is super excited to make a difference in our interconnected Dartmouth community. This year, he hopes to focus on mental health support for students, laundry allowances, general improvements to student life, and listening to students’ needs. Aside from politics, he loves to write, swim, listen to music, spend quality time with friends and play tennis, previously working as a tennis professional. JJ looks forward to helping to build a supportive Dartmouth community.

Hanna Bilgin is a prospective Physics and Comparative Literature double major from Chicago. She is passionate about merging STEM fields with the humanities, exploring how scientific principles can enhance our understanding of literature and art. She is a House Senator for Dartmouth Student Government, a mentor of her House Council, and an Opinions Writer for The Dartmouth. Outside of her academic pursuits, she enjoys writing, photography, and canoeing down the Connecticut River.

Ranvir Deshmukh ’26

Ranvir Deshmukh hails from India and is a dedicated Computer Science Major. With a fervent passion for startups, Ranvir is an embodiment of entrepreneurial spirit. He is currently steering a new venture, "Meme Me," which is set to launch on the Dartmouth campus by the upcoming winter.

Beyond this, Ranvir actively participates in the Startup Entrepreneurship Education and Discovery (SEED) club, further underscoring his commitment to fostering an entrepreneurial culture. His aspirations extend to enhancing the student experience at Dartmouth. He's keenly focused on addressing challenges such as laundry issues and expanding late-night dining options. Through his endeavors, Ranvir's mission is clear: to work diligently for the Dartmouth Community, ensuring that it not only thrives but also becomes more accessible and accommodating for all its students.

Ian McKenna ‘27

Ian is an Econ major from Cleveland, Ohio. He is a senator for DSG and serves on the ’27 Class Council board. Other places you can find Ian are on the squash courts, at the Magnuson Center, or in his instructor jacket at the Dartmouth Skiway. Outside of Dartmouth, Ian is committed to his philanthropic and entrepreneurial efforts, having run multiple successful fundraisers during his gap year and most recently this January launching his own business, Neurofeedback Hanover. Ian’s favorite part about Dartmouth is “definitely the people” claiming “they are so awesome you just don’t find fun, driven, and adventurous people like this anywhere else.”

Samay Sahu ‘27

Samay Sahu is a ’27 from Nashua, New Hampshire who is planning on studying Economics and History Before enrolling at Dartmouth, Samay held the position of National Chairman for the High School Democrats of America, earning recognition as one of the youngest members in Democratic National Committee history. Currently, he serves as an officer for the New Hampshire Democratic Party and as an ambassador to The Dartmouth Political Union. He is honored to serve as West House Senator as well as Chief of Staff. His main priorities are to push for the removal of financial barriers and enforced medians while ensuring that the perspectives and needs of his fellow students are heard and addressed.

Reece Sharp is a prospective Government & Religious Studies double major from Los Altos Hills, California. At Dartmouth College, Reece serves on the West House Council and the Programming Board for school-wide events. She is also an ambassador for Dartmouth Civics and a member of the Women's Club Ice Hockey Team. 

Reece is heavily involved with the college, working with Admissions as a student blogger and campus tour guide. She is honored to serve as the '28 West House Senator and as DSG’s Deputy Finance Director.

Aarushi Jain is '25 from Long Island, New York, where she graduated from The Wheatley School. At Dartmouth, she is pursuing a double major in Psychology and Politics, Philosophy, and Economics (PPE), and is hoping to attend law school. This year, she is writing a thesis in the Government Honors program.

Beyond academics, Aarushi is a coxswain for the Women’s Rowing team and dances with Raaz, Dartmouth’s South Asian Fusion dance group. She is the General House Senator in Student Government and serves as a tour guide. Aarushi is also involved with Greek life and is a War and Peace Fellow. Aarushi enjoys spending time on the river, with friends, and eating desserts.

Sabik Jawad is a ’26 from Chittagong, Bangladesh. He is planning to study a combination of economics, math and public policy at Dartmouth. On campus, he is involved with First-Year Class Council, North Park Exec Council and the Powerlifting Team. He also works at Novack. Sabik’s main focus is on reforming dining at Dartmouth while also working in improving other areas of student life. If you ever see him at Novack or on the street, don’t forget to say hi!

Ikenna Nwafor is a ‘27 from Lagos, Nigeria. He is pursuing a double major in Politics, Philosophy and Economics, and Computer Science. Apart from DSG, Ikenna is involved in the Irving First-Year Fellowship, Great Issues Scholars, Model United Nations, First-Year Class Council and the Men's Rugby Team. In his free time, Ikenna likes to hang out with friends, listen to music, relax at Aquinas House and watch Sci-Fi movies. Evan Gerson is a campus community-builder learning and growing as a student in our community. Striving to make every day a little bit brighter, Evan serves in the Town of Hanover as the Vice Chair of the Bike Walk Committee and as a Member of the Capital Improvement Program Committee, where he advocates for developing multi-modal infrastructure and expanding housing opportunity. Never settling for less, Evan works to make our campus even better by improving accessibility through Access Dartmouth and fighting for student-athletes. To connect across communities, Evan engages with people on creative platforms. Whether vlogging his adventures building a social media marketing business or sharing his experiences meeting new people in wacky ways through his rejection challenge, Evan values making the most of our opportunities, and in the years ahead, Evan looks forward to advancing Hanover’s continued effort to build a more housing-abundant, walkable, bikeable, and economically vibrant future.

Taha Tariq ‘28

Taha Tariq is an undecided double-major from London, England, with interests in Geography and Middle Eastern Studies,  and potentially minoring in International Studies. At Dartmouth College, he serves as the Co-Chair of the West House Council, a Stewardship Ambassador under the Dartmouth College Fund, and is deeply involved in the Sustainability Action Programme, the Great Issues Scholar program, and the First Year Class Council. Taha is also a member of the Al-Nur Executive Board, the Hill Winds Programme, the Student Advisory Board, and a photographer for the Aegis Yearbook. This term, he is engaging with the Social Blueprint Challenge, D-LAB, and Tuck Pathfinders Programme. As General House Senator, Taha is committed to representing his year group and is determined to standardise the quality of common rooms and expand support for FGLI students, including advocating for more grants and removing the leave-term requirement for unpaid internships. In his free time, Taha enjoys photography, travelling, baking, gaming, and watching horror movies!
